Solo piano
Pianist and composer William Schmidt performs a program of works inspired by French art songs, Schubert Lieder, opera, and folk song, including his own pianistic arrangements and paraphrases alongside those of Liszt, Balakirev and Beryl Rubinstein. William has two Masters degrees in piano performance from the University of Melbourne and the Music and Arts University of Vienna, Austria. He has been described as having “an intense musical intelligence paired with an unparalleled sensitivity (Flinders Quartet).”
