Mozart and More with Elyane Laussade

“It is with great excitement that I invite you to Mozart and More, the next series of concerts at the Laussade Studio, and simultaneously announce my Mozart Project. I have embarked upon a journey that will see me perform all 27 Mozart Piano Concerti with Australian professional orchestras and community groups. The project was launched in Launceston last month with the LYCO under the baton of Margaret Hoban. Since many of you here in Melbourne were unable to attend because of the large pond that needed crossing, I will repeat the two concerti here in the studio with the SSO, aka the Schmidt Symphony Orchestra, on second piano. William James Schmidt will not only share his formidable talents as a great collaborator in these concerts, but as a brilliant composer and pianist as well. Between the two concerti we will perform a brand new work by Will which I commissioned earlier this year. The Glory Vines Suite is a collection of catchy dances for two pianos, including a Bossa Nova, Ragtime, Minuet-Waltz and Saltarello, a composition so fresh in its conception and such a delight to play that you simply MUST come hear it!”
